For now, just accept my premise that this weapon has a significantly high skill ceiling because if you are able to accept this premise then you may be more inclined to have a clearer view and opinion on certain design aspects of the rapier, such as a lack of “lunging” (what the greataxe has) on left-click attacks. How the rapier has a high skill ceiling will be shortly elaborated upon. This is by virtue of the natural high skill ceiling of the weapon. Most rapier players are not great rapier players. (grace tree) Rapier is a high skill ceiling weapon, and most rapier players are not good rapier players I don’t normally contribute to anything forum-related on any game, but my extensive experience with the rapier and the apparent lack of good feedback and advice obliges me to contribute today since I genuinely want to see this weapon in an enjoyable and balanced place. I hope the rapier community, an already relatively smaller community, reads my post in great detail. My point is, I know the rapier in and out, and hope to share some of my insights gathered with you players and developers here in this post. I have also participated in roughly 6-8 wars. I have over 5,000 kills, a majority portion of those kills stemming from World PvP. I have been PvPing primarily with the rapier ever since I hit level 15 on this game, and throughout my journey to 60 have fought hundreds of duels and fights going up against all weapon class/armor class combinations. Throughout my 400 hours, I have spent a majority of that time PvPing, including PvPing in order to gain exp to level. All 400 hours of primarily rapier gameplay. I want to first provide some information about myself, and why my inputs and opinion may be useful. I have for too long witnessed misinformed posts or posts with flat-out bad recommendations regarding rapier changes.

I intend to provide feedback for the rapier, particularly as it concerns PvP.

In response, I posted a youtube video of me dodging spear sweep, spear heavy attack, GA reap, and G… As a result, I received allot of nonsense comments about how it is impossible. In that post I claimed, that contrary to popular belief, evasion’s i-frame can be used to reliably dodge incoming enemy abilities. So I initially posted a detailed rapier feedback thread, in which I happened to discuss the significance of Rapier’s evasion ability and its impact on the rapier playstyle and skill ceiling. 1 OPR game, 14 Clips of using evasion to doge incoming abilities - ANALYSIS General Discussion
